The Expressive Portrait - Finding Inner Peace in Times of Covid-19 is a project documenting how to process feelings by bodily felt imagery using visual art
The project is showing my own process in practice. My motivation for this project was to bring my inner essence back to life. It
had been buried by too much stress working as therapist during Covid-19 lockdown spring 2020
I made a series of Expressive Portraits and inner pictures, using guided imagery exercises plus dancing to carry the process forward whenever I felt stuck or was in doubts
The inner pictures were a turning point: They helped to shift from feelings of frustration, discouragement and exhaustion to a state
of authenticity, self-acceptance and wellbeing

Welcoming whatever there is ... is the first step into the right direction to find inner peace and resilience. You can rely on your body sense and the life forward direction of creativity when tapping into this direction. It's an ongoing process, always open for the next surprise!
